It doesn’t take long at all to tell VanDeBord’s story. Founder Tobias Nottebohm is a pilot; he flies Airbus aircraft on intercontinental routes for a well-known German airline. He was starting to get sick of friends asking him if he could get them real equipment from airplanes. As if the flight captain can simply pack up empty Airline Trolleys and Aviation Boxes and take them home upon arriving at the destination! That’s how the VanDeBord project got started in 2009: Tobias’ pilot contacts immediately proved to be a helpful way to open doors with prominent airlines.
