Founder and CEO Tobias Nottebohm is a pilot, flying intercontinental routes on Airbus aircraft for a well-known German airline. Too often, too many friends asked if he could procure the equipment from airplanes. Just as if the captain could simply pack empty airplane trolleys and onboard dishes at the destination airport and take them home. This led to the launch signal for VanDeBord in 2009.
